History and Vision
Light of Christ Ministries has been serving children and youth in Lancaster city since the 1990’s. Over these decades many friendships have been made, and many lives have been touched with the Gospel. During the summer of 2015, special Wednesday evening meetings were started with the goal of transitioning in to a local church. Jeff and MaryRose Barker , and Dale and Alma Charles have shared the leadership from the beginning.
That transition has continued, with Sunday morning services being added near the end of 2018. We currently meet at 10:30 every Sunday morning in a fairly traditional format, but with lots of opportunity for interaction The worship time, the Bible lesson, the prayer times, as well as the occasional picnic or potluck, all give opportunity for attendees to participate.
Our goal for each attendee is to experience new life in Christ, to live as a disciple (apprentice) of Christ, and to introduce others to the living Christ. We look forward with anticipation to see what God will do in our church in the coming years!
